Casiba is an Argentine company established in 1952. Its initial products were metallurgical: Expanded Metal and Cable Trays.
The first air filters -grease eliminators for cooking extraction chimneys- were manufactured with expanded metal aluminum mesh. After that the relationship with Farr Company from Los Angeles CA was establish. It started a license agreement which lasted for several decades. It ended when Farr was sold to the European Camfil.

During all these years, manufacturing the complete line of Farr products, an invaluable know-how about the products and its applications, was acquired. Today this is the foundation of our mission.
In 1999 the filtration business became so important, that Casiba’s shareholders decided to divide the company into two independent companies: Casiba, continuing with the air filtration, and Industria Básica, with the Expanded Metal and Cable Trays' products.

The complete line can be seen in our web site. It covers the entire range, from panel filters, bag filters, etc. and filtration equipments; laminar flow, frames, housing and support structures, to cabinets, transitions, etc.

Abilities and competences
The two most important competitive advantages are 1) The know-how accumulated during Casiba’s 50 years of existence, and 2) Its metallurgical origin, which allow us to resolve in a complete way all the structures and cabinets, with the expertise of a filtration system provider, who knows which manufacturing details are critical for the good performance of its metal sheet manufacture. It is also able to improve costs and lead-times, according to the clients' needs.

· Computer assisted design
From the beginning of the budget process to the detail drawings for the manufacturing, our technical department uses a design system assisted by computer. The adopted program is the "Intellicad".
We are attaching a DGW document. Also regarding the Trumpf punching machine, it has its own CAD/CAM program “TOP’s 200” for the development of different items.

This equipment is very important for the manufacturing of cabinets and structures, since it is ideal for short runs, it has a very high working speed and an insuperable precision (www.trumpf.com). It is, together with the above mentioned under "Abilities and competences", a very important resource which differentiates us from our competitors.

· Cut / folding / welding possibilities
Our factory is fully equipped with cutting machines, bending presses and swing bars to work with sheets up to 6mm thick and 3m long. In addition, we have welding machines, painting cabinets, etc.

· Stainless Steel works
We have developed stainless steel welding and polishing abilities, at the request of the pharmaceutical laboratories and food processing plants.
